SP Technology has announced the appointment of Roy Henderson to the Board of Directors.

SP Technology has announced the appointment of Roy Henderson to the Board of Directors.

Henderson is no stranger to the company having been with SP Technology since joining in 1986 as an Apprentice Toolmaker.

A few years after completing his apprenticeship he moved on to become a draftsman within the company, detailing machine designs.

He was promoted to Design/Project Engineer in 1992, and then to Senior Project Engineer in 1997.

His success in this role led to his position changing to Technical Sales Manager in 2001.

During this time Henderson also successfully completed an MBA at the University of Abertay Dundee.

This broad background has given him an excellent understanding of the business, enabling him to assist in the continuing success of the company.

Henderson's main role will be to continue leading the sales side of the business, working closely with clients at a technical and commercial level.

Rod Chisholm and Allan Morrison, current Directors and the original founders of the company commented: "We are happy to welcome Roy to the Board of Directors at SP Technology".

"Having joined the company in 1986, Roy is one of our longest serving employees and has been involved with almost every department in the organisation, giving him a wealth of experience that he can utilise in his new role".
