Steinmeyer has set up a new US subsidiary company responsible for sales and service of precision ball screws and lead screws in North America.

Albstadt Germany based Steinmeyer has set up a new US subsidiary company based in Newton, Massachusetts, responsible for sales and service of precision ball screws and lead screws in North America When questioned about the timing, George Jaffe, Executive Vice President commented: "Our success over the past several years in working more closely with the OEM market convinced us that this is the right time to break ties with our former distributor"

"All customers we contacted reacted very positively to this change, seeing the obvious benefits in working directly with a manufacturer".

"A local sales and customer service office enables faster and more complete responses to technical inquiries".

"And since communication is now direct with the manufacturer, instead of through a third party distributor, RFQs and purchase orders are processed and monitored more efficiently".

By offering a very broad product line ranging from 3 to more than 100mm in diameter, Steinmeyer is able to satisfy the most demanding ball screw requirements in diverse markets such as machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, miniature actuators, medical equipment, fibre optic alignment mechanisms, analytical process equipment, metrology and materials handling.
