Capacitive sensor keeps on the level

The CLS 16 is a capacitive sensor which overcomes the problems associated with fluid level control in metallic tubs and tanks.

Until recently, fluid level control in metallic tubs and tanks through the use of a sensor was difficult When nonconductive materials are used, the sensor can be positioned behind the housing wall

This is not possible with metallic tubs and tanks.

The metal acts like a screen and prevents the reading of the field distortions resulting from the different water levels.

Specially designed for this type of application, the CLS 16 serves as a controller for liquid levels.

Based on capacitive technology, this sensor provides simple level control of non-aggressive liquids.

Compensation for swell water can be provided by the integrated electronics.

The CLS 16 is highly reliable as it contains no mechanical parts, which could lead to functional failures due to wear and tear, damage, freezing temperatures or stickiness.

This sensor, with its extremely flat front surface, is particularly suited for use in bathtubs and whirlpools.

The sensor has a mounting diameter of 16mm and is built in to a housing wall.

A quick and close fitting is assured through the use of a nut and a sealing ring.

Due to its minimal mounting depth, this sensor can be installed in space-constrained applications.

The front side of the sensor can be varnished to achieve colour matching with the housing front based on customer requirements. Request a free brochure from Schurter Input Systems ...
