Safety and Access, a leading access industry safety organisation, is offering two new courses this Autumn: 'IOSH Managing Safely' and 'Accident Investigation'.

IOSH Managing Safely.

Safety and Access is an accredited provider of this flagship Safety Management Course.

As an acknowledged leader in Safety training for the access industries, the company is well placed to deliver a relevant, dynamic course that will help managers with a responsibility for safe management within the business to manage safety more effectively.

Risk assessments, safety management systems and safety policy are all covered within a course that is delivered in a purpose-designed Nottingham training facility.

IOSH Managing Safely will be delivered as a four-day course, one day per week throughout September 2006.

Accident Investigation.

What do you do if something goes wrong? Accidents do and will happen, even in the best run organisations, and it is imperative that a proper investigation and the correct response is made.

This one-day course will help managers to develop a greater understanding of causal factors in accidents, the legislation that covers the reporting of accidents and incidents, a methodology for investigation and a system for developing action plans.

In the UK in 2004/5, over 300,000 reportable incidents occurred, a rate of 1300 per 100,000 workers, and 7 million working days were lost to workplace injury.

Proper investigation and planning to avoid accidents will significantly reduce these figures.

To deliver these courses, Safety and Access are proud to introduce Darren Allport MIIRSM MIOSH MRSH PgDipOSH DipSM.

Darren is a seasoned Safety professional, having spent five years as a HSE Inspector following long experience of safety within the Ministry of Defence and RAF.
