Sony Europe's Image Sensing Solutions division has appointed MultiPix Imaging as a value added reseller in the UK and Ireland for the company's full range of machine vision camera modules.
Sony Europe's Image Sensing Solutions division has appointed MultiPix Imaging as a value added reseller for the UK and Ireland with the aim of expanding the market for the company's full range of machine vision camera modules.
The agreement, which runs from 1st January 2005, is designed to give Sony wider access to the machine vision market, where MultiPix Imaging focuses its efforts.
For MultiPix Imaging, it adds a complementary product line to strengthen its machine vision offering to customers in these markets.
Gary Quinn, Sales and Marketing Manager at Sony said: "MultiPix Imaging is a strong value added reseller with a strong brand and complementary product lines".
"They have a particularly strong technical sales team which will help to educate the market on driving the transition to digital systems".
Peter Hunt, Commercial Director at MultiPix Imaging added: "Sony is a highly regarded company with a great product range".
"The company's pioneering role in IEEE1394, and the imminent introduction of 1394b products is set to take increasing market share from vendors not supporting the transition to digital".
"It is an exciting time to be joining forces with such a great company".
Sony Image Sensing Solutions and MultiPix will be exhibiting at IPOT and Machine Vision 2005, on 16th and 17th February 2005, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Sony and MultiPix will have neighbouring stands in Hall 12 - B48 and B47, respectively.
