Softing has announced a series of free Profibus DP-V2 seminars in the UK to provide an overview of Profibus-DP and coverage of the features made available with the new Profibus DP-V2 specification

Softing has announced a series of free Profibus DP-V2 seminars in the UK to help explain the latest developments to the Profibus specification Aimed at engineers, developers, designers, integrators and OEMs of automation products, systems and solutions the seminars will provide an overview of Profibus-DP (previous knowledge of Profibus advisable) together with comprehensive coverage of the features made available with the new Profibus DP-V2 specification including: * Data exchange Broadcast - broadcast data over the bus

* Synchronous (Isochrone) Mode - trigger applications simultaneously.

* Priorised Communication - create network priorities.

* Redundancy - for process automation resilience.

* Clock Synchronisation - keep things in sync.

Particular attention will be made to how these new features apply to modern networks with respect to deterministc behaviour in motion applications and control loops/regulators etc.

Delegates will also learn how to integrate DP-V2 into Profibus compatible products.

Presenters will include Peter Reudiger, Industrial Automation Specialist, Softing and Oliver Roth, Sales and Marketing Manager, Softing.

The one day seminars will be held at Manchester on 14th and the Midlands on the 15th November.
