Softing's unique Profibus analyser has been enhanced to accommodate the latest Profibus DP-V2 protocol.
Softing's unique Profibus analyser, for investigating bus traffic during the commissioning, debugging and maintenance of Profibus networks, has been enhanced to accommodate the latest Profibus DP-V2 protocol Profibus DP-V2 brings additional functionality to Profibus networks by incorporating features such as isochronous bus cycles, lateral communication between slaves and time synchronisation, used mainly in motion control applications

Control system revolutionised beer deliveries
A control system from Softing, 4Control, has revolutionized beer deliveries from the Bavaria Brewery in Holland, by providing automated tanker loading, error-free routing for drivers and more
The analyser is a PC-based tool used in conjunction with a Profibus master card to display and process bus communication parameters and states graphically, enabling quick understanding and isolation of network problems without requiring detailed protocol knowledge.
It allows easy interpretation of all bus states and allows timing issues to be resolved quickly.
A basic analysis of network traffic is obtained by simply pressing a button.
Beyond that the analyser has numerous capabilities, including an organised overview of deviations from set point cycle times, with filter and trigger functions to help isolate specific Profibus services.
The analyser guarantees targeted trouble-shooting and fast and efficient detection of communication problems - at all datarates up to 12Mbit/s.
This new version of the analyser is characterised by plaintext decoding of DP-V2 frames.
It can be used with Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP.
