Kevin Wilson has been appointed Managing Director of Socomec Sicon UPS, the Cirencester based UK subsidiary of the Socomec Group.

He will head up the UK operation in what promises to be a landmark period for the company.

Socomec Group's continued investment in R and D programmes has made it renowned for technological UPS innovation and a number of new product launches are planned in the coming months.

One of the few UPS companies to manufacture and market its own equipment, Socomec offers a complete range of UPS systems rated from 250VA to 4800kVA achieved by multiple configuration of six 800kVA single modules.

It was at the forefront in the introduction of fast switching IGBT and DSP.

Socomec also offers a complementary range of special application equipment including; load transfer modules (static switches from 16 to 1750A), DC rectifiers, emergency lighting inverters, harmonic treatment systems and diesel generators.

Commenting on his appointment, Wilson said: "I am delighted to be joining this progressive group and to already have such an experienced and multidisciplined team in place".

"I shall be reinforcing the company's commitment to quality service and look forward to the further expanding our customer base which already encompasses some of the UK's leading corporate banking and telecommunications businesses, government departments and the retail trades".
