Between 1st and 3rd May in Detroit, Michigan, the Rapid 2007 Conference and Exposition will preview several new and updated products, showcase users, developers and analysts Hundreds of companies that specialise in rapid tooling and manufacturing, medical and bio-med applications, as well as 3D scanning, modelling and printing are using the Rapid exposition as a platform to launch new products and showcase the future trends in rapid technologies and additive manufacturing (RTAM)

This year's exposition sets the current state of emerging technologies on stage - from precision manufacturing equipment to new materials.

As RTAM continues to revolutionise the way products are designed and built, the Rapid exhibits provide a glimpse into up-and-coming technologies that could transform tomorrow's manufacturing.

There will be a number of product launches and product previews at the Rapid event in 2007.

EOS of North America will be debuting its new Formiga P 100, its next generation laser-sintering system.

Loaded with innovations and small enough to fit through a doorway, this new, compact machine is an affordable alternative for top-quality laser-sintered parts.

In addition, Geomagic, Transmagic, Laser Design/GKS, RapidForm, Direct Dimensions and many other companies will be showcasing new products throughout the event.

Rapid 2007 is an annual meeting point for engineers, designers, technology users and developers from around the world and provides a forum for all design, tooling, and manufacturing professionals.

The four-day conference and exposition provides opportunities for education, networking, discussion and involvement in the showcase of future industry trends.
