See how to convert scanned drawings to DXF files
Softcover has introduced the free video tutorial to show engineers how to quickly convert scanned drawings (raster files) into a DXF (vector file) format that can be edited in any PC CAD program
A specific benefit of Plot2PDF is that unlike most other PDF file generators it creates and saves PDF as vector graphics, which means that the CAD quality of the drawing is retained even when the viewer zooms in or the drawing is plotted out in detail.
Plot2PDF also converts PLT, DXF, DWG and CGM files to DWF (AutoDesk's Drawing Web Format).
Among the benefits of PDF files are: security (PDFs are unlikely to be corrupted by e-mailing or viruses; design integrity (a PDF drawing cannot be edited, only viewed and printed); and economy (the Acrobat reader is free).
Plot2PDF will convert drawings individually or as a batch and can be used from a command line.
Plot2PDF's batch processing facility will convert hundreds of drawings at once.
Plot2PDF is only available as an Internet download costing GBP 113.98.
A free working demo is also downloadable from the Softcover website.
