Engineers wanting to convert scanned drawings or logos to DXF will find Softcover's free "Scan2CAD hints and tips" a useful aid to good or better conversion results.

Scan2CAD is a raster to vector converter which turns scanned (raster) images into DXF (vector) files that can be edited in any CAD program.

Unfortunately, too many engineers start with poor quality scanned images and no knowledge of the process required to get good results.

To help engineers achieve high quality conversion quickly and easily Softcover has produced a series of Scan2CAD hints and tips which are good for all raster to vector convertors, even the most expensive ones.

The latest tip describes how to avoid problems with artwork, scan resolution and file formats when converting logos into DXF for editing in CAD or CNC.

A working demo of Scan2CAD can be downloaded from the Softcover website, together with the full set of hints and tips.
