SolidWorks has announced 3D Meeting, an add-in to SolidWorks software that enables users to view and share in real-time SolidWorks mechanical designs over the Internet.
SolidWorks World features more than 70 product-oriented breakout sessions, covering a wide range of topics including: hands-on sessions with SolidWorks fully integrated solutions; sessions specifically for managers; sessions on how users are customizing their SolidWorks environments with the SolidWorks API; and sessions with educators sharing their best practices for engineering classes.
The conference provides direct access to SolidWorks Gold and Solution Partner products in one venue, one-on-one technical sessions with SolidWorks professionals, in-depth demonstrations of new innovations in design collaboration and communication using the Internet, and a complete overview of SolidWorks 2001 - the company's latest software release.
In conjunction with the conference, attendees can participate in the Certified SolidWorks Professional Program (CSWP).
The CSWP establishes an industry standard by which all SolidWorks professionals can be evaluated.
SolidWorks will also be hosting its second annual "ModelMania Contest" in which users face-off in a test of modeling speed and skill.
