SolidWorks 2001 version of CAD software released
SolidWorks Corporation has introduced SolidWorks 2001, the latest release of the company's award-winning, Windows-based 3D mechanical design software.
Users who design heavy equipment, packing plant machinery and other large devices can display, modify and analyse an assembly of virtually any size with any number of components.
Engineers no longer have to break up large assemblies into chunks because of memory limits in Windows.
The editions support the Intel Xeon EM64T and AMD Opteron processors.
Solid Works will continue to support versions that run on the 64bit operating system in a 32bit mode.
The software will also continue to offer full compatibility among all Solid Works and Cosmos files, regardless of the operating system on which they were created.
Both versions are available in 12 languages.
