New from SoftNoze USA, the SN12LP is a low-profile cushioned sensor mount.

This latest addition to the patented cushioned sensor mount family allows any standard industrial 12mm proximity sensor to be "spring-loaded", providing 12.3mm of overtravel protection.

The new SN12LP can to be mounted into any standard 18mm mounting hole.

All components are 303 stainless steel.

Each SN12LP is sold with bevel-edged glass-filled nylon cap to ward-off abrasive metal chips, further soften impacts and allow over travelling side passing targets to safely slide by.

In essence, the mount converts a noncontact sensor into a contact-protected sensor by adding to the sensing distance.

The SN12LP has a spring-loaded body and helps solve such manufacturing problems as: detection of inconsistent machine motion; "no signal" trouble calls; and the impact damage or destruction of the sensor itself.

Typical applications include automatic conveyor systems, packaging plants, robotic assembly lines, lift systems and sheet metal fabricators.
