Spelsberg's novel range of IP55 enclosures have been designed to be tougher and more versatile than other designs on the market.
The new range also comes in a selection of new colours (grey, red, green and black) - that can be used to match, or stand out from virtually any environment.
With Spelsberg's unique self-sealing cable entries and Klickt click-top system this low cost enclosure's ingress protection has been increased to IP55.
The new range of colours, coupled with the popular A box facia, means the enclosure are aesthetically pleasing as well as practical.
The new multicoloured i12s form a part of Spelsberg's ground breaking, quick fit Red Range enclosures.
These are designed to meet a number of needs.
The i12 is no exception.
They include many notable design innovations to meet the demands of electrical installers including ease of fitting and installation, a tighter sealing lid to improve the enclosures ingress protection and a range of colours designed to enhance the aesthetics of the enclosures.
Spelsberg is well known for producing practical, quality enclosures without neglecting the overall finish of the product.
This new range of colours means that users can ensure the enclosures either fit unobtrusively or stand out from a colour coded environment.
The enclosure's lid incorporates the popular A box facia design displaying both VDE approval and the IP rating of IP55, a textured panel design is also included for secure and clear labelling.
The multicoloured design isn't the only advantage of these enclosures over other brands.
The boxes come with self-sealing cable entries which ensure a faster installation time.
Each pack comes supplied with a free punch, making cable entry as hassle free as possible.
To further ease the fitting of these boxes extra knockouts have been included on the back of the enclosures, these can be manually opened using a knife to increase the number of cable entries available.
The enclosures also feature external lugs for easy fixing using either cable ties or screws.
All enclosures are made of a tough, halogen free thermo-plastic.
This makes them resistant to accidental knocks meaning they are suitable for installation in exposed areas.
The construction has passed both the UL94V2 flammability and 960C glow wire tests.
The halogen free material ensures UK safety standards are met by not producing harmful gasses when exposed to fire.
All this means that the enclosures are ideal for fitting in offices and public spaces.
The new Klickt click-top system, consisting of extra ridges set into the box edge and adjoining lid surfaces, and a deeper recess in the lid has increased this range's IP rating to IP55.
This provides protection from low-pressure jets from all directions - it will also guard against dust and other solid objects.
With this level of protection these enclosures are suitable for use in the food industry and in environments exposed to the elements such as outdoor junction boxes.
Spelsberg's new multicoloured i12 enclosures are a part of its lower cost Red Range entry level wiring enclosures.
These form a part of the widest selection of plastic enclosures available ex-stock in the UK.
All Spelsberg enclosures are available empty, or with a complete range of accessories supplied or ready fitted.
Enclosures can also be supplied with bespoke entries, engraved corporate logos or fitted terminals within 48 hours.
