Filters clean themselves with consistency
Self-cleaning filter technology provides a more consistent, economical and safe way of removing solids than any manually cleaned basket type, bag type or cartridge filters.
Self-cleaning filter technology provides a more consistent, economical and safe way of removing solids than any manually cleaned basket type, bag type or cartridge filters.
Plenty Filters is now offering a choice of manual and automatic self-cleaning filters for all liquid duties requiring continuous filtration without interruption to the flow during the cleaning process.
Available in low and high pressure options, Plenty Self-Cleaning Filters are of a totally enclosed design, thereby preventing liquid contamination and increasing operator safety.
As there is no interruption of the flow during element cleaning, the units can be used for critical continuous process lines.
In operation, the liquid enters the body and flows through the element from outside to inside.
Debris is collected on the outside of the wedge wire element, which is cleaned without interruption of the flow by rotating the cylindrical element against twin scraper blades.
The collected debris is deposited in the bottom of the filter body from where it is periodically discharged.
The low pressure option is suitable for applications where the maximum operating pressure is 12bar at 100C.
The high pressure option will accommodate a maximum working pressure of 20bar for cast iron at 100C, or 35bar at 100C when cast or stainless steel is used.
Should circumstances demand, both units may be suitable for operation at temperatures outside these limits, subject to materials of construction and modifications to controls for automatic versions.
