Spirax Sarco has launched its next generation of EasiHeat packaged heat exchange systems, making specifying and ordering easier, as well as providing faster delivery.

The new EasiHeat range comprises a core steam to hot water plate heat exchange package for basic heating applications, plus a series of optional addon modules to meet the needs of almost any domestic hot water, low-temperature hot water or process heating application.

A complete package made up from these "off-the-shelf" modules typically cuts delivery time of EasiHeat from months to just four weeks.

Specification and design time are dramatically cut compared to conventional shell-and-tube heating systems.

Installation is also quick because the complete package only needs to be hooked up to the site's services and commissioned, saving the time and costs involved in building conventional heating systems on site.

Furthermore, the whole package is factory tested and guaranteed to work as specified, eliminating the risk of compatibility problems between components.

The ready-to-install core package occupies just 1.2m3 and uses a high-efficiency, versatile plate heat exchanger from heat exchanger specialist Alfa Laval.

Rated up to 1200kW, EasiHeat is ideal for building services, including hospitals, schools and colleges, hotels and commercial buildings, as well as the process industries.

EasiHeat units can deliver water at a constant, stable temperature, even with the sudden, wide load changes frequently experienced in domestic hot water applications.

There are five optional modules that can be added to the core package.

In the high limit package a pneumatically actuated or electrically actuated valve provides a high temperature limit function that automatically isolates the steam supply if a preset secondary temperature is reached.

This package is essential for DHW services and LTHW heating applications.

For the stop valve package bellows sealed stop valves on the steam inlet and condensate outlet connections enable isolation of the primary circuit.

A strainer protects the temperature control valve.

In the stop valve and separator package the stop valve package, together with a separator set, removes entrained water droplets from the steam to ensure that dry, saturated steam is delivered to the application.

The high limit option and stop valve package combines the first two options.

Finally, the full option package combines all the available options into a single system to meet the most demanding applications.

A choice of electric or pneumatic controls ensures that the packages are suitable for any plant, whether or not a compressed air supply is available.

All the components that go to make up EasiHeat are perfectly matched, leading to accurate temperature control and optimum condensate drainage.
