New hot water system for N.Irish sauce factory
Spirax Sarco has equipped a new boiler house and hot water system installed during a major expansion at Rich Sauces' factory in Northern Ireland.
The generators are ideal for hospital sterilisation and smaller industrial applications.
When demineralised or reverse osmosis feedwater is used, the generators comply with the demanding requirements of Health Technical Memoranda HTM 2010 and 2031 covering sterilisation in hospitals.
With a maximum footprint of just 1625 x 700mm, the units can be installed side-by-side to keep the required plant space to a minimum.
Each generator is supplied as a complete skid-mounted package, incorporating all water level, primary steam, clean steam and blowdown controls, ready for installation.
This ensures that all the equipment is correctly assembled and fully factory tested before delivery.
Microprocessor control ensures quick and simple commissioning and accurate operation.
The supply of clean steam is precisely maintained at the correct supply pressure and flowrate under all loads.
An LCD enables the user to view the operating parameters easily.
The units can also be linked to a BMS or other remote control and monitoring system.
The generators are also fitted with pre-heat tanks to raise the feedwater temperature before it enters the boiler.
This removes soluble gases in the feedwater, improving the generator's clean steam output quality and eliminates the need to heat cold feedwater in the boiler.
All parts wetted by the feedwater and plant steam are manufactured from stainless steel, which ensures corrosion resistance from treated water and avoids contamination of the clean steam supply.
