Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 3, 2008

Spirax Sarco has added four courses to next year's training programme, to cover more aspects of the design, operation and maintenance of steam systems.

The updated Boiler Operative Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) provides national accreditation for industrial boiler operators and boiler plant managers.

Spirax Sarco is a licensed and approved training provider for BOAS.

The Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2007 course provides designers, managers and engineers with knowledge and understanding of the revised CDM regulations and how these affect their work.

A course on boiler water treatment provides a practical guide to water treatment operations, chemical dosing and boiler water treatment strategies.

The last course explores water treatment guidelines, standards and compliance, providing delegates with knowledge of the latest guidelines and their impact on boiler utility plant.

Other boiler courses cater for new operators or those multi-skilling to take on boiler house duties.

The full range of 2009 training courses is described in the Steam System Training 2009 brochure.
