WinWedge inputs serial data from any instrument directly into Excel, Access, MMIs, LIMS, statistical software etc - in fact any Windows 3.x, 95, 98, NT or DOS application.
Customers include Shell, Pan American Energy and Mariner Energy.
DualStream II offers cost-effective flow measurement of liquid and gas fractions for well management and allocation monitoring, particularly in marginal or remote fields.
The meters have been installed or are in the process of being installed in subsea, topside and onshore applications.
Liquid fraction data have traditionally required costly and time consuming well-testing to keep measurements up to date.
DualStream II combines differential pressure flow measurement with new algorithms, to estimate the gas mass fraction (GMF).
Therefore there is no requirement for regular input of data by the user and consequently no need for ongoing well testing.
The San Pedrito project, operated by Pan American Energy, has invested in two onshore Dualstream IIs.
Installed directly on the wellheads they are being used to help meet accurate contractual production targets.
For allocation of production from two flow lines to one single platform, Canyon Express Project, operated by TotalFinaElf E and P USA, will be installing 10 subsea Dualstream IIs, at depths up to 2100m.
The units provide a cost-effective solution for the allocation and well-monitoring of the product prior to comingling in the two flow lines.
Other installations include Mariner Energy on the King Kong project and the Shell Penguin project.
