Serco Ryan has launched a comprehensive guide listing all European makes and sizes of fasteners, including handy metric conversion tables, different finishes and mechanical properties.

The 40-page guide is designed to provide a quick reference point for all buyers, designers, users and specifiers of fasteners.

It has been compiled in conjunction with many of Serco Ryan's customers to answer a wide range of common fastener and fixing related questions.

The new guide offers up-to-date information on virtually every type and make of fastener available on the market today, including quick reference alphabetical listings and clear diagrammatical illustrations.

An A-Z guide has been released by the company before and is effectively 'back by popular demand'.

Customers have finally worn out or lost their original copy (then under the 'odd bolt' banner) and requested a new one; they must have proved useful because the last issue was printed in 1979.

Manufacturers titles, brands and product names are listed alphabetically alongside the type of products they manufacture.

DIN standard dimensional details for nuts, bolts, screws, washers and fixings are also included.

ISO standard mechanical properties are provided for bolts, screws and nuts as well as tightening torques for M sizes.

All the fasteners and fixings featured in the A-Z guide are available from Serco Ryan who currently stock around 80,000 separate product lines.

The company offer full supply management services including JIT/DLF and Kanban systems with delivery available anywhere in the UK.

Impartial technical advice is available to all Serco Ryan's customers and includes engineered fastening solutions and manufacturing cost reduction studies.
