Seals can be adapted for individual applications
Freudenberg has succeeded in developing a Simmerring for industrial applications which combines the properties of both PTFE and elastomer materials.
This means that press fittings, fittings and flanges can now be sealed using only one single type of O-ring material.
This reduces not only the cost of logistics and storage but also the risk of mix up during assembly.
Thanks to the universal 75 HNBR 231127 O-ring, users will always have the right seal in the right place, regardless of whether the fitting is required for water of fluid hydrocarbons.
These universal O-rings are yellow: a definite identification advantage, especially when it comes to gas applications.
Another defining feature of Simrit's 75 HNBR 231127 elastomer is its extremely low compressive strength relaxation.
This makes it ideal for the long-term sealing of gas pipelines and gas supply systems in particular.
Thanks to the combination of resistance to fluid hydrocarbons and reliable, long-term imperviousness, there were no difficulties in getting approval for 75 HNBR 231127 elastomer in accordance with EN682.
All of the elastomer's material parameters are well within this DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association on Gas and Water) standard.
Moreover, the O-ring's residual imperviousness in the event of a fire has been proven at 650C for 30min, in accordance with the DVGW's VP614 standard.
In addition to its outstanding gas-sealing properties, 75 HNBR 231127 elastomer is also ideal for sealing water in all sorts of applications.
And it has the letters of approval to show it.
The resistance of these O-rings meets the requirements of the EN681-1 standard.
Regardless of whether it is used for cold water, 70C hot air or deionised water, this recently developed elastomer's values for compressive stress relaxation, hardness alteration, compression set and exposure to ozone are all in line with this DVGW specification.
Its compatibility with drinking water is also backed up by a KTW approval.
The fascinating properties of yellow 75 HNBR 231127 sealing elastomer are available in O-ring form in all standard dimensions (ex warehouse) and special shapes.
