Seal performs under pressure
Simrit's special PPS premium pressure seal Simmerring was developed for sealing shafts in aggregates that are characterised by high system pressure.
High-pressure seal replaces O-ring and backup
Cover Seal is a one-piece double-acting polyurethane compact seal designed to provide static sealing for rods and pistons in hydraulic or pneumatic systems at operating pressure levels abovve 5MPa.
A broad range of standard materials and numerous special materials are available for this purpose.
Xpress solutions minimise the risk of costly machine downtime and allow development projects to continue uninterrupted.
When customers suddenly discover that they have run out of an urgently needed sealing element, guide or plastic machined part, the Merkel Xpress service is on hand to help.

According to Freudenberg, the pneumatic complete piston Pneuko M sets new standards in terms of durability and frictional behaviour.
Seals can be adapted for individual applications
Freudenberg has succeeded in developing a Simmerring for industrial applications which combines the properties of both PTFE and elastomer materials.
These machinable parts can be manufactured according to the customers' exact specifications using all standard sealing materials and many special materials within 24 hours - sometimes even sooner.
In addition to almost all PU materials - from hydrolysis resistant to low-temperature resistant and lubricant-filled varieties - NBR, HNBR, FKM, PTFE and PP are all available as standard materials.
Many of these materials have special approvals such as KTW approval for drinking water or FDA approval for pharmaceutical and food applications and can be used to meet special application requirements.
Seals and guides can also be manufactured using many special materials such as PPEK, FKM or various types of filled PTFE.
Specially trained service employees offer expert advice when it comes to choosing the optimum sealing profile and the most suitable material.
At the same time, the Merkel Xpress specialists can rely on Simrit's extensive expertise, even at short notice.
A set of machines has been set aside especially for the Xpress service.
This means that components measuring up to 2500mm in diameter and, with the help of service partners, seals measuring 4000mm in diameter, can be manufactured at short notice.
These extremely tight reaction times have been made possible by the automation of the process chain from the CAD drawing to the operation of the machines.
At present, over 260 preprogrammed sealing types can be called up instantly.
Others are added on a regular basis.
The experts at Simrit also offer support when it comes to the production of assembly tools for special applications such as U-packings that are difficult to install.
A process-oriented responsibility structure ensures that every customer has only one contact person for all their communication needs: from initial contact to the dispatch of the finished goods.
