Simrit ultra bushes can damp or isolate radial and axial acting vibrations, and absorb torsional loads and Cardanic deflection.

Vibrations not only cause noise, they also put a strain on components in the drive train, which can significantly reduce their service lives Engines, motors, gears, drive shafts, output shafts and couplings connected to downstream machines all affect each other mutually

Starting torque, imbalances, the influence of external forces and torque peaks also have an effect on the machine, as do interconnected components in the transmission path and the machine structure.

This is why the most economical way to achieve an effective mounting and damping system is to view the system as a whole and not as a collection of individual components.

In this regard, analysis, simulation, and optimisation are part of a design process that includes the following stages: examination of the problem, basic measurements, construction of a model, simulation, system analysis and system optimisation for component design, implementation in the drive train, and suggestions for optimising the construction.

The optimisation process is rounded off by taking verification measurements.

Viewing the system as a whole in this way cuts development times and leads to rapid technical and economically optimised results.

By working in this way, power transmission engineering companies and machine manufacturers have at their disposal a whole series of optimised components for the test phase.

Based on the results recorded in this phase, individual components are designed to suit the application at hand.

Such components include: torsional vibration dampers, vibration absorbers, hydro mounts, or frequently used rubber-to-metal mounts such as ultra bushes or spherical mounts.

Simrit ultra bushes comprise inner and outer precision metal sleeves, which are joined together by a vulcanised elastomer layer.

This means that ultra bushes can damp or isolate radial and axial acting vibrations, and absorb torsional loads and Cardanic deflection.

Ultra bushes are used as torsional-elastic couplings and as maintenance-free joints.

They are also used for machine suspension.

Simrit spherical mounts comprise an inner ball and an outer ball socket, which are joined together by an elastomer layer that is vulcanised on both sides.

They are ideally suited to damping tasks in applications characterised by axial, radial, torsional, and Cardanic loads.

They are used in a very wide variety of applications, for example: as joints in torque brackets, for connecting shock absorbers and steering rods, and as joint couplings in railway vehicles or ship propulsion systems.
