Seal performs under pressure
Simrit's special PPS premium pressure seal Simmerring was developed for sealing shafts in aggregates that are characterised by high system pressure.
High-pressure seal replaces O-ring and backup
Cover Seal is a one-piece double-acting polyurethane compact seal designed to provide static sealing for rods and pistons in hydraulic or pneumatic systems at operating pressure levels abovve 5MPa.
Synergy effects will be created by the merging of Simrit's materials expertise and Helix Medical's process competence.
For many years now, Freudenberg Simrit has been using biocompatible materials such as 70 EPDM 291 in seals, moulded parts and diaphragms.
These parts are used in diagnostics, dental technology, and emergency medicine.
A number of companies that manufacture computed tomography and X-ray equipment also use Simrit diaphragms.
With the expertise of Helix Medical, Simrit will now be in a position to supply companies in this large market with implants and disposable medical products made of liquid and solid silicone.
Such components are typically used in the fields of cardiology, neurology, plastic surgery, and urology.
Wind pipe tubes, single- and multiple-lumen catheters, and other tubes will also be developed and manufactured.
Both the processing of materials and procedures involved in the production of such medical components must meet the toughest demands.
Class 10,000 and class 100,000 clean-room conditions are used for the production of silicone moulded parts and tubes/catheters, respectively.
It goes without saying that Simrit's production and quality assurance processes meet the requirements of the relevant approval processes in the medical industry.
