Simrit offers vibration control solutions

A Freudenberg Simrit LP product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 30, 2009

Simrit offers a large selection of conical mounts, ultra bushes, laminated springs, circular mounts, Mo-mounts and V-mounts to reduce vibrations in wind power applications.

The mounts are rubber-metal parts that comprise metal components to which rubber has been securely bonded.

These elastic connecting parts are designed to reduce vibrations in all directions in space; absorb forces in all directions in space; and support all torsional loads that arise.

In this way, they ensure safe mounting and fix the component securely horizontally and vertically while providing sufficient insulation against structure-borne noise.

These elastomeric mounts are made of highly elastic natural rubber mixtures that are protected against aging and ozone.

Specially selected rubber compounds also reduce the creep behaviour that is typical of rubber material.

By optimising the design of the rubber profile, any compressive-shear stresses that occur can be minimised, increasing the durability of the parts.

Simrit can work closely with wind power plant design engineers to develop special solutions for bearings and vibration control solutions.
