New from Sterling Hydraulics is the R04G3, a normally open two-way three-port vent-to-close diverter valve.

Diverter valves are useful circuit building elements that can be operated in conjunction with other valves to provide medium to high flow switching or metering control.

The R04G3 is suitable for switching flow rates up to 58 litre/min between ports 2 and 3, at a maximum pressure drop of 20bar in the fully open state.

It is activated by venting port 1, giving continuous drain flow from port 3 via a pilot orifice in the spool.

The venting can also be remotely controlled by the use of a small solenoid cartridge or manual dump valve.

The R04G3 is extremely versatile and can also be used as a pressure regulator with main stage remote control provided by a pilot relief valve or a proportional valve.

Suitable to fit the industry common cavity, the RO4G3 has hardened working parts for maximum durability as well as zinc plated external parts for extra protection.
