Charge system puts the brakes on dump
trucks
A novel accumulator charge valve system overcomes the limitations of existing units in common use in heavy mobile plant.
Accumulators are in common use in heavy mobile plant and are typically used in the braking systems of dump trucks and other wheeled vehicles The standard design requires that accumulators are recharged with pressurised oil after vehicle braking, and valves providing this function have been around for many years

New from Sterling Hydraulics is the R04G3, a normally open two-way three-port vent-to-close diverter valve.
Load control valve comes with three options
Sterling Hydraulics has a pilot-operated poppet-type load control valve available in three versions offering different pilot ratios for diverse applications.
Sterling Hydraulics has taken a fresh look at these design requirements and after extensive trials has introduced a radical new product.
The Sterling accumulator charge valve system comprises two cartridges, which can be built in to a dedicated accumulator charge valve block or be part of a larger composite valve block incorporating other vehicle functions, eg steering systems, cooling fan speed control and tipping control.
Although many existing valves provide the basic functions, they often have undesirable characteristics inherent to the design.
These include pressure spikes when switching that shocks the circuit.
This, in turn, can be uncomfortable for the vehicle driver.
Some designs can also be unreliable, especially with wide variations in oil temperatures.
The revolutionary Sterling design offers: reliable unload and reload performance; smooth operation - no pressure spikes; consistent operation regardless of temperature variations; and an adjustable scan setting.
The valve blocks and cartridges are designed and manufactured by Sterling Hydraulics in the UK.
Full technical assistance is available to OEMs so that valve blocks can be supplied to specific customer requirements.
