Electromagnetic software meets Solidworks criteria
Cosmos/EMS, its electromagnetic design software from SRAC, has successfully met the criteria required to become a SolidWorks Solution Partner product
Cosmos/Motion can be used to detect moving interferences between CAD assembly components, show effects of forces and collisions between parts, and automatically output load data to Cosmos/Works and Cosmos/DesignSTAR.
"We are pleased to expand our long-standing relationship with MDI with the release of the Cosmos/Motion product," said Barbara Guerra, president and CEO of SRAC.
"Cosmos/Motion combined with Cosmos/Works and Cosmos/Designstar will help integrate the worlds of mechanical design, motion simulation, and structural analysis even more tightly than before." "This single-window integration of Motion and Structural analysis with CAD creates a unique synergy between the three products, setting new standards for ease of use," said Alan Wegienka, vice president of Mechanical Dynamics' Design Technology Division.
"Cosmos/Motion automatically interfaces with Cosmos/Works and Cosmos/Designstar, allowing CAD users to perform both analysis and motion simulation on their models within the same environment." Cosmos/Motion is currently available for SolidWorks and can be purchased through one of over 300 Cosmos/Works resellers worldwide.
