SFS is offering a bespoke silicone sponge moulding service for a wide range of products and components, offering the advantages of the material's strength and resilience combined with economy due to low tooling cost and exceptionally quick turn-round times.

Unlike extruded silicone sponge it can be produced in much larger block sizes as well as in a wider range of shapes; it is ideal for such items as seals and anti-vibration, heat-insulating and cushioning pads.

This particular grade of silicone sponge has excellent fire-resistance specifications and meets UL94 VO and FAA25.853 (b) vertical Burn.

It can be moulded by SFS directly onto other substrates such as metals, fabrics or foils and products may be supplied with or without an adhesive backing.

Working temperature range is -60 to +200C and standard colour is off-white, but the sponge can be pigmented to a wide range of shades if required.
