The latest addition to the MEL range of industrial laser measuring sensors is the M1 Series.

This all-new sensor has been specifically designed to be compact, low cost and easy to use for distance and thickness measurements using a visible class 2 red laser beam.

The M1 Series is a compact stand-alone sensor offering measurements up to 400mm and a resolution of 0.1mm all from a single 65 x 50 x 20mm housing.

This housing is an IP67 rated die-cast enclosure, with a power requirement of 12-28V DC.

A standard 4-20mA output signal is given proportional to the range, with optional 0-10V and RS485 outputs available.

Applications for this sensor are wide and varied throughout industry.

They include distance, profile, thickness and contour measurements in both research and industrial applications.
