Laser sensor gets the measure of distance
The M7-Series of laser triangulation displacement sensors features a 54kHz sampling frequency.
New from Sensors UK is the M7-Series of laser triangulation displacement sensors with a 54kHz sampling frequency.
The M7-Series replaces the popular and reliable M5L lasers with an even greater specification and high level of options as standard, but still with the same impressive resolution and ranges from 0.5 to 400mm.
Not only does the M7 laser have a 54kHz sampling frequency, but there are now seven filter settings from 500Hz to 17kHz and the choice of four outputs as standard, along with the integrated RS232.
The M7L-Series also has a reduced power consumption of only 200mA, which can be derived from a 10-30V DC power supply.
Both the compact sensor head and electronics module are IP64 rated, allowing the units to be installed in more applications where environmental protection can be an issue without additional protective housings being required.
Applications for this sensor are wide and varied throughout industry.
They include distance, profile, thickness and contour measurements in both research and industrial applications.
