A new range of reusable fabric-reinforced silicone tubing introduced by Samco Silicone Products for masking bores during product finishing combines high temperature resistance with flexibility and resilience It was developed to mask and protect large machined bores in castings and bearing blocks welded into steel fabricated structures, such as a vehicle chassis, during painting, powder coating, metal finishing and enamelling

Sizes range from 10mm to 150mm outside diameter, with colour-coded stripes for ease of identification.

They are designed to be tight-fitting and protect the bore at all stages of finishing, for instance preventing the ingress of 'E' coat solutions and the deposition of powder or paint onto the machined surface.

The tube suits application temperatures up to 250oC and can be reused many times.

It can be supplied in 'kit' form with the correct number and sizes to fit individual parts.

Samco also offers a custom service, low-cost tooling and can provide individual samples or high volume runs.
