Parker SSD Parvex has developed an economical absolute encoder for its servomotors.

Parker SSD Parvex has released an economical absolute encoder which help save long homing procedures on machine startups Posivex is a robust encoder made of a resolver associated with an innovative device which monitors the absolute position of the machine when the drive is powered off

When the drive is powered on, the motor shaft's position latched by the encoder is sent to the drive via a high speed fieldbus.

Then during normal machine operation, the motor shaft's position is dynamically monitored by the built-in resolver.

The Posivex encoder is available as an option on the NX series of Parvex servomotors.

It is particularly suitable for packaging applications.
