High-frame-rate, high resolution, shortwave infra-red camera has high speed and regions of interest windowing capabilities with high sensitivity spectral response from 900 to 1700nm.

Goodrich subsidiary Sensors Unlimited has announced a high-frame-rate, high resolution, shortwave infra-red (SWIR) camera, the SU640SDWH-1.7RT.

The indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) camera has high speed and regions of interest (ROI) windowing capabilities with high sensitivity SWIR spectral response from 900 to 1700nm.

The 640 x 512 pixel focal plane array (FPA) on a 25um pitch captures full-size images at 109frame/s or can image smaller ROI at over 15,000frame/s with 100% fill factor.

The all-solid-state InGaAs camera has room temperature FPA operation with a single 14bit digital camera link compatible output and a simultaneous analogue video NTSC output.

The high speed camera can also be controlled by serial commands that give users control over the ROI window size, position and integration time.

The high sensitivity, windowing camera has on-board non-uniformity corrections and anti-blooming protection.

External triggering of full frame or ROI acquisition and user-programmable exposure times make this camera suitable for capturing pulsed or high speed events in low-light conditions.

SWIR imaging applications include machine vision, pulsed laser beam profiling, high speed motion analysis, thermal imaging of combustion or rocket plumes, free-space communications lasers or guide star alignment, high speed semiconductor inspection, optical switch monitoring, hyperspectral imaging and other real-time, image-tracking tasks.
