The UK branch of the Stokvis Tape Group has purchased a cutting machine that is able to cut large quantities of self-adhesive tape at a low cost The machine, the only example in the whole of the UK, has a number of unique features

The most striking is the breadth over which the tape can be cut.

This is 550mm, while other machines tend to be limited to 175 or 250mm.

As a result, the production capacity of the cutter is more than three times that of existing cutting machines.

In addition, the machine can handle large volumes of self-adhesive tapes in one run, irrespective of the dimensions for cutting.

Furthermore, this is all done with a high rotation speed.

With the new machine, Stokvis Tape Great Britain is able to serve its market faster and at a more attractive price, because the production process is quicker and more efficient.

The British branch supplies self-adhesive tapes to various branches of industry, particularly the automotive, aviation and paper and graphics sectors.

Stokvis Tapes wants to become a world player in the field of self-adhesive tapes.

Until recently, Stokvis Tapes operated exclusively on the European market.

The group, whose headquarters are in Zeist, has branches in eleven European countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, England, Finland, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

Shanghai was added in 2004, as the first Asian branch.

The concern serves eight different branches of industry (automotive, construction, electrotechnical and electronics, synthetics, aviation, metal, mobile telephony and paper and graphics) and follows its customers as they expand production to Eastern Europe and Asia.

Based on signs from its circle of clients, Stokvis Tapes also expects to be operating in such growth markets as India and Mexico within the foreseeable future.

More so because the application of tape in industry is still on the increase.

The use of tape offers great advantages in terms of the environment, flexibility, productivity, user-friendliness, et cetera in comparison with conventional production methods.
