A new high- specification CANbus pressure sensor designed for off-highway vehicles is likely to find wider application thanks to its demanding specifications.
The ESX range has been developed specifically as an outdoor-standard controller and has already been used by European manufacturers for controlling complete hydraulic machinery, steering systems (steering- by wire), drive-controls, anti-lock braking (ABS), anti-slip regulation (ASR), engine management, gear shift controls, platform inclination and level control.
The processor system is a Siemens C167 with 16 digital and 8 analogue inputs.
It can control 12 output (proportional valves up to 4A) including isolated supply to any sensor.
The controller works independently as a measuring, driving and controlling device for sensor/actuator management and is capable of executing a number of separate or related tasks in real time.
The unit is mounted in a cast aluminium housing protected to IP65 or IP67 (optional) with a Gore-Tex breathing filter.
Fully protected against short circuits, overload etc., it has built in diagnostic capabilities and an operating range of -40 to +85C.
It meets all the European TUV, EMC, and CE approvals.
Programming is done in the high level C language or by using an IEC 1131-3 graphical Interface.
The ESX starts at ?150.00 for smaller versions with large discount for quantity. Request a free brochure from Sensor-Technik UK ...
