With increasing use of the CANbus system on commercial vehicles and industrial applications, Sensor-Technik UK has launched the first cable in the world to meet the international standard SAE J1939/15.

Previously, most engineers working with CANbus systems have specified cable which although adequate, probably did not fully meet the recommendation and standards set by the international test and approval bodies.

Sensor-Technik UK's new bespoke CANbus cable conforms to SAE1939/15.

It comprises an unshielded twisted pair of two 18AWG wires in the colours yellow and green, twisted lay length of less than 33mm, each core 2.7mm OD 16 x 0.253 copper.

The cabling is available simply as a pair of twisted wires, but Sensor-Technik UK can have cables made up to customer requirements to include three-wire and/or power supply wires, for example.

Complete specifications and free samples are now available.
