Bedford-based Sensor-Technik UK has completed the acquisition of long-established encoder supplier Majestic Controls, the UK distributor for Swiss manufacturer Micronor.
Sensor-Technik UK, under the guidance of Managing Director and well known industry figure Morten Moller, will now be responsible for UK sales and support of Micronor's encoders, feedback units, motorised potentiometers and pulse generators.
Majestic Controls was formerly the UK source for Micronor and Huba Control products, but was involved in setting up a separate business for Huba three years ago.
Since then, it has concentrated on the Micronor range.
Commenting on the acquisition, Moller said: "With the Majestic Controls team wishing to move on to other things, this has been a move which has been welcomed by all parties - Majestic, ourselves, Micronor and, most importantly, the UK-wide customer base.
We shall be phasing out the Majestic Controls name over the coming months and we're sure we'll be able to take users on to a new level of service and support as Sensor-Technik UK customers".
