Micro option for stand-alone controller
range

Sensor-Technik has extended its ESX range of freely programmable controllers for mobile applications with the launch of a new compact model.

Sensor-Technik has extended its ESX range of freely programmable controllers for mobile applications with the launch of a new compact model The ESX-micro builds on the success of the ESX family of controllers for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery, but in a more compact form with reduced I/O capabilities for less demanding applications

Built around a 16bit, 40MHz controller, the ESX-micro provides all the processing power needed for mobile applications, working independently as a measuring, driving and controlling device for sensor/actuator management and capable of executing a number of separate or related tasks in real time.

The controller features up to analogue inputs, two rotational speed inputs and eight digital inputs, and provides up to four PWM outputs, two digital outputs, two analogue outputs and one motor drive output.

Targeted at applications using the CANbus protocol for communications, the ESX-micro provides a single CAN interface as standard, with the option of two CAN 2.0B ports.

An RS232 interface is optional, and a baby board can also be fitted to provide USB, LIN and other interfaces.

The unit is mounted in a cast aluminium housing protected to IP65 as standard (with IP67 protection optional) and is fitted with a Gore-Tex breathing filter.

Fully protected against short circuits, overload etc, it has built-in diagnostic capabilities and an operating range of -40 to +85C.

The ESX-micro meets all relevant automotive, agricultural and construction industry standards. Request a free brochure from Sensor-Technik UK ...
