Dedicated control terminal for working vehicles

A Sensor-Technik product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 8, 2007

Control unit for applications such as off-road vehicles has a large colour display and provides excellent shock and temperature resistance.

The Graf-Syteco MCP6 is a dedicated control terminal for working vehicles and other industrial uses which puts a 10.4in TFT colour display in front of the operator with programmable keys around it.

It has powerful onboard processing power in the form of a 32bit AMD processor and a 16bit Fujitsu controller to give excellent response to operator input.

This is via the 16 freely programmable function keys which surround the screen, five either side and six along the bottom.

In addition, there are two digital potentiometers each with a pushbutton.

Most importantly, the MCP6 has the wide operating temperature range and high shock and vibration impact ratings which are needed to put this sort of device on the road.

It can handle -15 to +60C as standard and is protected to IP65.

Other features include four video inputs, which can be used for monitoring rear-facing cameras, two USB interfaces for attaching memory modules, as well as interfaces for CAN, UART (RS232/RS485/RS422) and Ethernet.

The MCP6 also has software for straightforward system programming.
