The high-performance, 32-bit device features a 150MHz Tricore TC1796 processor and 8Mb of SRAM, 64Mb of Flash memory and 16Kb of Eeprom/Fram.

Also included are four separate CAN 2.0 B interfaces and capacity for 124 I/O.

As well as multi-functional analogue/digital inputs, there are digital/PWM outputs and three programmable constant-voltage outputs for supplying sensors.

If necessary, Sensor-Technik can also provide extension modules, such as a motor bridge, additional CAN interfaces, Ethernet, USB or Flexray.

The ESX-3XL is suitable for SIL2 safety-related applications as a result of features such as cable break detection, self diagnostics, short-circuit and overload protection and reversed polarity protection.

Suitable for use in automotive and industrial applications, the IP67 controller comes with a die-cast aluminium housing and a Gore-Tex filter for pressure equalisation.

The operating temperature range is -40C to +85C.
