A new range of media storage units designed to accommodate tapes, CD's, floppy discs and microfiche has been introduced by Strongbox, the specialised instrument rack, cabinet and console manufacturer.

The Strongbox Media Store range is extremely rugged, is free standing and is available in a variety of sizes with a wide selection of special shelves and drawer units to cater for virtually any media.

The cabinets will be made at the Strongbox factory at Houghton Regis near Dunstable, where a £1million investment provides a high quality, high volume manufacturing capability from raw materials to finished product.

The company is ISO 9001 accredited.

Steve Edmunds, managing director of Strongbox said: "We were asked to design and build these cabinets for an existing customer and they were so successful that we decided to add them to our product range.

Our factory gives us the flexibility to react very quickly to meet specific design requirements of potential customers.

We expect them to meet a demand in the broadcast industry and also in large organisations where large amounts of records need to be easily stored and accessed.".
