Portable tester adds a sense of balance

The SB-1700 is a portable system for accurate and cost-effective balancing of rotating equipment.

The SB-1700 is a portable system for accurate and cost-effective balancing of rotating equipment Comprising a high-sensitivity vibration sensor, rugged control unit and all ancillaries required for immediate use, the new SB-1700 system is a self-contained industrial kit for balancing components such as grinding wheels, fans or turbines

It is suitable for machinery speeds from 10 to 60,000rev/min and has been designed with simplicity, reliability and affordability in mind.

Incorporating easy-to-use software, the SB-1700 provides rapid analysis to indicate where operators should add, subtract or reposition weights in order to bring components into balance.

The system's extremely compact vibration sensor is ideal for restricted access applications and its laser speed sensor operates at distances from 0.1 to 2.0m.

The SB-1700 provides single plane balancing as standard.

However, the equipment's 'plug and play' capabilities enable this be extended to dual plane balancing applications, simply by connecting a second vibration sensor to the controller unit.

Readings can be displayed in either imperial or metric units and everything needed to start balancing is supplied ready-for-use in the kit's purpose-designed carrying bag. Request a free brochure from Schmitt Europe ...
