Increased business levels across all areas of its operations have led to a record quarter for vibration and balancing solutions specialist, Schmitt Europe.

Increased business levels across all areas of its operations have led to a record quarter for vibration and balancing solutions specialist, Schmitt Europe.

The company's figures reflect a series of major order wins for grinding wheel and component balancing equipment, as well as its advanced Acoustic Emission Monitoring control systems.

In parallel, Schmitt reports high levels of interest from UK and overseas customers in its recently extended ranges of laser measurement and alignment equipment.

Participation at international machine tool exhibitions in Chicago, Brussels, Stuttgart and Milan during the past two months has also reinforced the company's recent performance.

"We have built a strong order book under difficult trading conditions", says General Manager, Dean White.

"Not only has there been a significant increase in UK sales, but consistent growth in our Italian, Scandinavian and Turkish markets as well.

We are also reaping the benefits of a re-structuring exercise that has enabled us to steadily reduce our cost base over the past 18 months".

"It has been our best quarter's performance ever", he continues.

"And with a number of exciting new product developments in the pipeline, I am confident that we can build on this foundation to achieve our goal of increasing sales by a further 50% during the next two years".
