Vib Test is a low-cost handheld unit for monitoring industrial equipment vibration levels.

Vib Test is a low-cost handheld unit for monitoring industrial equipment vibration levels.

The new, pocket-sized instrument is an ideal entry-level system to support vibration management procedures to ISO2372 standards.

It is a battery-powered unit, enabling simple and cost-effective checking of rotating equipment for unbalance, misalignment, bearing faults or excessive mechanical wear.

Even inexperienced users can achieve fast and accurate results and the Vib Test's switchable digital LCD display provides clear readings of acceleration (g) or velocity (mm/s).

A built-in self test function and low battery warning indicator are also included as standard.

The unit is priced at GBP 490 +VAT and is supplied by Schmitt ready for use with a handheld sensor probe and interconnecting cable.

Multipoint condition monitoring applications are accommodated simply by removing the probe assembly from the sensor units, which can then be mounted - either magnetically or by mechanical fasteners - on the equipment to be checked.

Fast and accurate readings are taken merely by plugging the meter into each sensor in turn or by use of a switch box.
