SRS Products subrack assemblies were on duty at the Sydney Olympics 2000 in Australia They were used to house equipment, supplied by DTL Broadcast for use in major facilities for both ARD/ZDF and Network 7 in Sydney

The enclosures supplied included an SRS 3U-subrack assembly for the DTL analogue video and audio distribution modules and a 3U-subrack assembly for its latest digital video and audio distribution and monitoring modules.

The equipment was used to distribute and monitor the audio and visual signals from sources throughout the Olympic complex within control rooms and for broadcast around the world.

For its new digital system DTL decided to use a 3U Eurocard format and after reviewing different suppliers of EMC products, a decision was taken to use the SRS Versirak product as this offered a ready tested EMC solution.

In addition, the SRS design team were able to work with DTL to produce a modular solution to the varying system requirements; single or dual power supplies, acrylic or solid front panels.

SRS Products has supplied over 150 subracks to DTL for use at the Olympic games.

Both SRS Products and DTL have been required to work to tight deadlines, and as a result have made the deliveries in Record Time.
