SRS custom builds 1U rack frame For Metawave
Stoke-on-Trent based Metawave needed a particular type of 1U rack frame that would meet EMC regulations but no rack frame manufacturer has an off-the-peg solution. SRS produced one though.
These units with their up-to-date styling also offer the ability to be mounted easily in wall-mounted installations.
Thus, this range of the modular Cubic enclosures, which incorporates a number of novel and unique features, is further extended.
The new sizes with their patented design offer an attractive low profile unit for desktop applications.
While using a universal wall mounting plate, this same unit can also be used for quick wall mount installations.
In addition, it can easily be demounted for servicing.
Thus, one common mount installation Cubic enclosure can be specified within a product build and then adapted to suit particular installations according to the final space available.
The strength, robustness and earth bonding renowned with CUBIC enclosures is inherent in the final system, together with the ability to be up graded for the level of EMC.
With the low profile external enclosure envelope, maximum internal space can be utilised.
This is achieved through releasing the corner joints of the Cubic enclosure and removing the complete top sub-assembly.
This enables the equipment to be mounted within the extreme dimensions between the side or top and the bottom panels.
An additional height/width of 50mm in either plane is provided, with the front and rear panels still available for display and interface purposes.
The Cubic range of enclosures, with its full EMC earth bonding, offers high levels of performance and appearance, a combination which is often difficult to find in the same product.
