The National Fluid Power Centre, in conjunction with Stauff UK, has launched a series of one-day fluid power training courses, to be based at the Stauff Form Pipe Technology Centre in Coventry.

Each course element will provide a knowledge update for those people involved in the maintenance and management of fluid power systems and controls.

They can be taken as a whole - five consecutive days - or as individual units of particular interest.

The course programme will also provide a starting point for those considering a BFPA Level two qualification at a later date at the National Fluid Power Centre.

The introduction to hydraulics course will be on November 29, whilst pumps and pump control systems will be on February 28, 2005.

On March 1 2005, there will be a course to introduced proportional control and December 1 2004 and March 2 2005 there will be a session on contamination management.

December 2, 2004 and March 3, 2005 will see a logical trouble-shooting course.

The NFPC said it has kept costs low through sponsorship and a desire to encourage more people to start exploring and building their knowledge base in the fluid power industry.

Each day will be a full 9.00am - 5.00pm with morning and afternoon refreshments and a buffet lunch provided, along with a comprehensive set of course notes and an opportunity for personal discussions with both NFPC and Stauff personnel.

Each day will cost £160.
