Boss quattro V5 is a powerful industrial software tool for parameterised analyses, stochastic analyses, design of experiments, optimisation and updating of numerical models with experimental data.
Boss quattro V5 is a powerful industrial software tool for parameterised analyses, stochastic analyses, design of experiments, optimisation and updating of numerical models with experimental data.
Boss quattro V5 will be the first version piloting Catia V5.
Boss quattro is a complete open environment, which allows users to explore a design space by providing a set of tools from simple parametric studies to fully automatic optimisation.
Boss quattro provides drivers for most CAD and FEA commercial software available on the market and can also be easily connected to any in-house software.
The prerelease of Boss quattro V5 is now interfaced with Catia V5.
This version allows its users to access to the parameters from a Catia V5 design table (associated to a CatPart or a CatAnalysis document) and to perform parametric studies, statistical analysis, optimisation, designs of experiments and responses surface on analyses and simulation lead by Catia V5 models.
Thanks to the Boss quattro task manager, it is also possible to integrate Catia V5 in the design process, in an interactive manner, as any other commercial or in-house software tool usually managed by Boss quattro (Samcef, Nastran, Abaqus, Excel etc).
The prerelease Boss quattro V5 allows Samtech to demonstrate to the whole optimisation community its high level of expertise in scientific software development.
The main new other capabilities of this version are the coupling with Samcef Field V4, the generative and associative pre- and post-processor, and optimisation using nonlinear semi-analytical sensitivities calculated as functions of time by Samcef Mecano, the coupled nonlinear FEA and MBS module.
"Numerous functionalities have been introduced in the prerelease Boss quattro V5, either in the tasks management over the network or in the optimisation algorithms but also in the graphical exploitation of results", said Didier Granville, Chief Marketing Officer of Samtech.
"In Boss quattro V4, a particular effort was put on the improvement of the link with various commercial FEA software.
Now, with the direct interface between the prerelease Boss quattro V5 and Catia V5, Samtech provides a complete design loop, from CAD to the most advanced analyses".
